Jumping Shadows

We went on a shadow hunt today through the school because we are learning about shadows. A shadow is black and goes beside you when you are walking around. It goes on the other side of where the sun is. Here are some photos of us chasing our shadows and making shadow pictures. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon so we made some awesome shadows!

Tilpa Visits Ty

Tilpa and I rode in the bumpy school bus all the way to Te Awamutu today. He came to my Mum's school and then home to my house. When it was my bedtime, Tilpa helped me with my home work and then snuggled down in bed with me and my cat.

Thanks for letting me bring home Tilpa. It was great fun today.

Cookie Decorating

We LOVE Golden Time in Room 3. This week we decorated cookies that Miss C had baked for us. We had a gingerbread man, a flower and a teddy to decorate. It was such a lot of fun, we are so lucky in Room 3! We deserve these special activities for following the golden rules all week.

Tilpa came to Dan's house

Tilpa came to Dan's house.

Tilph was having afternoon tea with Dan at his house. They had a chocolate muffin, crackers and ginger beer. Tilpa watched T.V. and then Dan read her a story about an old man who lost his mitten, but he found it at the end. Dan had a bath and Tilpa really wanted to have a swim, but he couldn't because he isn't allowed to get wet. Then Dan and Tilpa had a bedtime story, and they snuggled up in bed and went to sleep.

Parachute Play

Today for our Golden Time reward we played parachute games. It was a lot of fun. We ran through it, bounced Georgie on top, bounced balls on it and made it like a tent over it. We love Golden Time!!!

What a Mess!!!

We are making sound machines. We have been watching the Magic School Bus where one of the children invent a sound instrument. We think ours are pretty cool too..but WHAT A MESS!!!

Ruben the Bear



Ruben the Bear came to Pirongia School and he taught us about road safety. We learned about four important road safety rules:
